About QCNW Liverpool

Quality Control North West - Liverpool is an NHS organisation providing a comprehensive range of quality control, research and scientific services to the NHS, other public bodies, private healthcare customers and the pharmaceutical industry. 

The laboratory is based within the Pharmacy Practice Unit at Liverpool and is hosted by Liverpool University Hospitals Foundation Trust. Services include environmental and piped medical gas monitoring, microbiological testing and stability determination of aseptically prepared medicines, including stability studies on compounded mAb preparations.

Quality Control North West - Liverpool laboratory is approved by the MHRA (Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency) as a provider of quality control laboratory services and is accredited under the UKAS scheme (United Kingdom Accreditation Service) to the ISO/IEC 17025;2017 standard.

Quality Control North West - Liverpool works closely with North West Regional QA Service / Specialist Pharmacy Services and with pharmacy professionals in NW aseptic and production units.
